So when we come together, our intentions and actions need to be shaped by God&#8217;s purpose in drawing us together. Every time we meet, the blessings of the gospel should be experienced   afresh, and our relationship with God renewed and strengthened.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><strong>Reflection: <\/strong>Read Colossians 3:16-17 and consider how &#8216;the word of Christ&#8217; (the gospel of Christ) may &#8216;dwell in you richly&#8217;.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In what ways can the gospel be heard and have its impact every time we meet together as Christians?<\/li>\n<li>What might be hindering this in the gatherings you experience?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The word of the gospel creates and nurtures <em>Christ-focussed, Spirit-filled assemblies<\/em>. The gospel proclaims the basis on which we may relate to God and provokes thanksgiving for all the blessings we have received (1 Corinthians 1:4-7; 1 Thessalonians 1:2-5). This &#8216;word of Christ&#8217; may be heard in preaching, exhortation, or the reading of Scripture together.
